5PTZ - Great artwork masquerading as graffiti

5PTZ is an area in Long Island City that has been marked for destruction unfortunately.  It has great graffiti by some of the city's unsung artists and for natives who grew up first reviling and then appreciating the works it's really great to have the best of the best all in one place.

Dough-nuts...

I try to stay away from pure unadulterated sweets but in the interest of introducing a donut aficionado friend to the sweeter side of Brooklyn I took him to the much touted about Dough bakery.  Their donuts like the Lemon Ginger one pictured below are sheer melt in your mouth perfection but don't take my word for it come to BK and try it for yourself, in my defense lemon is a great fatigue fighter and ginger is a great anti-inflammatory... I'm just saying.
