It's been a minute since my last post okay, several minutes but I'm back and here is yet another Brooklyn coffee shop BUT this one has a different vibe. Curated vinyls play lending to a ultra cool vibe and I'm really feeling it, can you dig? I thought you could. As a native Brooklynite it's very "She's Gotta Have It".

Grace Jones - Pull Up to the Bumper baby!

Grace Jones slays it at this year's Afropunk darling!  The 67 year old Jamaican born singer, actress and all around artist reminds us what true artistry is because there is no attempt on her part at being controversial or to compete with other singers.  Grace owns this space and she owned Brooklyn as well on Saturday.

Check out MOMA - Museum of Modern Art this summer

MOMA has some really great exhibits and classics like Kara Walker, Yoko Ono and Andy Warhol.  Along with some "new" artists that may not be familiar.

The clothing store UNIQLO sponsors FREE Friday night from 4pm to 8pm.

The Community Gardens of New York

No matter how much I complain about the city, I'm allowed as a native New Yorker, I love the N.Y.C. because of the many, many things you can do like hanging out at a community garden. 

This Target sponsored garden below is located in Brooklyn at 931 Bedford Avenue and available to the public for free. It's an absolutely beautiful respite in the middle of the concrete that defines our crazy, loveable city.

Once in a Blue Moon...

It's time for a BLUE MOON  actually they may not appear blue at all but more like they are grey.  I actually took these photos last night with a 100-200 aperture setting and f stop of 8.  

You can catch the true blue moon tonight after sundown because the next time there will be a blue moon will be January of 2018.

New York City's Water Towers

If you look up every once in a while you'll see very colorful water towers that are not actually filled with water.  They are the work of Tom Fruin who is also the genius behind the stained glass house in Brooklyn Bridge Park.  

Currently on display through the end of summer in Brooklyn is a  Gowanus Water Tower  which lights up from 8pm to 1am nightly.  They are truly works of art and I would commission one if I didn't live in a studio.

Jennifer Lopez just turned 46 years old and the 40s haven't looked better and true to JLo style she is wearing this little black cut out dress by Bao Tranchi it is not wearing her.
